Sunshine Coast Council have been engaging the services of Dr Brett W Stone B.V.Sc since 2008. Brett is uniquely positioned to service our feral animal team with his vast multi species veterinary experience and his knowledge and experience with firearms and their safe and secure use in the community. Brett is the only suitably qualified person in our region to the best of our knowledge with the mastery and experience in the use of firearm deployed dart sedation and the ability to provide emergency response when requested. He has already been engaged for training of our officers in the safe and appropriate loading of darts with chemical sedation agents and we intend to use his expertise into the future to support our officers in the field when needed.
